Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Josta Dladla has explained the reason for his move from Masandawana to Amakhosi.
After a long spell at the Tshwane giants, the Johannesburg born former pro footballer has joined Amakhosi in 2009 to persuade his career.
The legend has now opened up on why he took the decision, saying he wanted more money, which the team was not willing to pay.
“(Laughs) both of them, serious because I played amazingly for Wits as a 19-year-old, then I played amazingly for Sundowns, I had so many great players around me, and we won two league titles there,” Dladla told Lethabo Kganyago in edition 46 of iDiski Times.
“I think things went wrong when my contract ended, and I couldn’t get the money that I wanted. I felt betrayed and Chiefs offered me the money and I went to Chiefs.
“Sundowns fans will say I played well at Sundowns and the Chiefs fans will say the same about me at their club, these are two great teams that helped me. So, I will let the fans decide.”
Dladla who also played in the Danish Superliga with AGF Aarhus spent six years with Chiefs where he scored 17 goals and registered seven assists in 119 games.
