Kerr – We’ve Got To Do Better

Dylan Kerr is hoping Tshakhuma will bounce back on Saturday when they face Maritzburg United in the DStv Premiership.

Just days after winning the Nedbank Cup, the cup champions lost 1-0 to SuperSport United and find themselves back in the promotion/relegation playoff 15th position.

They now face 12th-placed Maritzburg United, who are three points ahead of them, and Kerr says the players need to do better.

He says it’s been a tough week for the team, and expectations are always high after victory in a cup.

“It’s been a tough week, that was fourth game in 10 days,” Kerr said after the mid-week loss.

“And after a final, you know, it’s always, it’s known well, in football, you win a Cup final, the next game, the expectations are very, very high.”

“But the players need to match that expectation.”

“But now we’ve got to soldier on now we’ve got a big game on Saturday at Maritzburg. But these players done really, really well.”

“They’ve really done and we’ve got to be proud of what they’ve done. But, you know, we’ve got to do better.”
