Ngobeni Reveals Downs Dream
Sifiso Ngobeni, who is experiencing a great campaign, has spoken about a dream move to Mamelodi Sundowns and revealed which current DStv Premiership player he is looking up to.
The left-back was called up in David Notoane’s initial 40-man squad for the Olympics after impressing for Bloemfontein Celtic.
The 24-year-old spoke to iDiski Times senior writer Velile Mnyandu about a host of topics, including his dream to return to his birth place Mamelodi to don the Masandawana shirt.
“Yes Sundowns… That’s my dream right now, it has been my dream since I was a kid.
“I remember the first day I went to the stadium, it was to watch Sundowns with my father. So now I am working towards that.
“You see now they are playing good football, things are good there and they are playing in CAF. I’d also like to play there.”
Ngobeni also revealed that he is looking up to 35-year-old Downs left-back Tebogo Langerman.
“The thing is Langerman was a winger before and now they have converted him.
“I like his style of play and he is looking after himself. He has been playing football for a while Langerman, I like his professionalism and his style of play.”
