Pirates Looking At Komphela?
Orlando Pirates could reportedly appoint former Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela as replacement for Josef Zinnbauer.
The 53-year-old won the first trophy as his managerial career with Mamelodi Sundowns in 2020/21, where he was part of the technical team around Manqoba Mngqithi and Rulani Mokwena.
It now seems as though Pirates are chasing Komphela and could reunite him with his former assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi, according to Kick Off.
The latter left his role as Golden Arrows coach ‘by mutual consent’ in a surprise move on Wednesday.
With the future of Josef Zinnbauer still uncertain, Kick Off report that Ncikazi and Komphela could both join the Buccaneers for the new season.
Komphela was said to be already a target of Pirates before joining Chiefs back in 2015, but ended up spending three season at Naturena.
