The 2021/22 CAF Champions League draw has served up some tantalising groups with Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly set to face Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mosimane and Ahly are aiming for their third consecutive title since his arrival after a clean sweep of the Champions League and Super Cup trophies.
They are overwhelming favourites this season but the likes of Zamalek and the Casablanca giants, Raja and Wydad, along with Esperance will be aiming to challenge the status quo.
With a record ten titles, Zamalek (5) and Esperance (4), Wydad (3), Raja (2), ES Setif, Sundowns and Etoile du Sahel are the other sides in the group stage who’ve also won the trophy before.
