Zwane Gives Nurkovic Update

Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Arthur Zwane has given an update on Samir Nurkovic and which players will not be available for their game against Golden Arrows.

The 47-year-old and Dillon Sheppard have taken over after Gavin Hunt was sacked on Friday.

Their first test will be Wednesday’s home fixture against third-placed Golden Arrows, with Zwane confirming that only the suspended Siyabonga Ngezana will miss the game.

“We’ll only be missing Siyabonga because of his suspended, and everybody’s available,” he said.

“Nurkovic was sick in the previous game. I mean, the last game that you played, and he’s fully recovered now, though.

“I don’t think he’ll even manage 90 minutes. But yeah, we’ll see if we can give us 90 minutes that will be a bonus.”

Zwane also insisted that his side are not afraid of facing Arrows even though they are a very difficult team to beat.

“You know, as a team, we’ll always be ready for any game. Obviously, you know, game of football is about results at this level,”

“So yeah, we’re just hoping that we’ll be able to get maximum points. Take advantage that you playing at home. And yeah, we’ll take the game to them. And we have no fear.

“We know we’re playing a very, very playing against a very, very difficult team. They’ve got good players, they’ve got new players, they’ve got good structure and a good coach too.

“So yeah, we looking looking forward to you know, to take them head on, it’s not gonna be easy, and we’re not going to make it easy for them as well.”

Chiefs currently sit in 11th place, five points above the relegation playoff spot and five behind eighth-placed TS Galaxy.
