Lakay – There Are Goals Still To Achieve
Lyle Lakay says that champions Mamelodi Sundowns will go into today’s DStv Premiership game against Bloemfontein Celtic with the mindset to win like they do in every game.
Sundowns were confirmed as league champions last week already, but Lakay says nothing will change with their approach, and adds that the players still have certain goals they want to achieve.
Celtic host Sundowns at the Dr Molemela Stadium at 5pm, with all of today’s games in the penultimate round of the league kicking off at the same time.
“It’s going to be a tough match but we’re going into it with the same mindset, we are preparing the same way as we prepared for any other game and we are hoping to get the three points,” Lakay told the club’s website.
“We go to each and every game, whether home or away with the same mindset, with the same goal , to win and play the same way. The confidence that we had throughout the whole season in our away games also contributes to it.”
“Even though we won the league, there are still certain goals that most of the guys want to achieve in the team.”
Lakay who has seven assists and four goals, says he he still wants to reach his target of contributing to fifteen goals.
“For me personally I still want to contribute more, I set myself a target of fifteen goals contribution for this season and so far I have eleven, I still wanna try and reach my goal for the season,” he added.
