Despite suffering another loss, Orbit College remains top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship, while Baroka continued their rise under Dan ‘Dance’ Malesela.
Orbit suffered a 3-1 defeat to Maritzburg United on Saturday night, which saw the Team of Choice jump up to fourth.
But with neither Hungry Lions nor JDR Stars winning, Orbit held the top spot.
Lions lost 2-0 on Saturday afternoon to a resurgent Baroka, who are now sixth, while JDR Stars drew 3-3 with Milford on Sunday.
On Friday Black Leopards’ run of victories ended at two as they lost 1-0 to Platinum City Rovers.
There was also a good 2-0 win over Magesi for Venda Football Club, who have since appointed Duncan Lechesa as coach.
Casric Stars and Upington City shared the spoils on Saturday, as did Marumo Gallants and AmaTuks. Pretoria Callies and La Masia also drew on Sunday.
