Former Orlando Pirates speedy winger Tlou Segolela has taken charge of the head coach role at Platinum City Rovers.
Segolela has been the club general manager since the club gained promotion from the ABC Motsepe League in July 2021.
Bokone Bophirima has been struggling since gaining promotion as they’ve never finished inside the top eight, let alone competing for higher honours.
Following the departure of head coach Nkosana Mabhena, Rovers appointed Segolela to lead the team. He took charge of his first game in the Nedbank Cup qualifiers against Marumo Gallants where they put three past them to book a place into the round of 32.
This is the second time the club has qualified for the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup since their inception.
Information received is that “Socks” has been given a mandate to save the club status. They are currently sitting bottom of the table with 11 points after 14 matches. Their next encounter is against Pretoria Callies who are three points above them.
