VFC Part Ways With Shivambu

Former Black Leopards midfielder Morgan Shivambu has parted ways with Venda Football club after Joel Masutha’s exit.

Venda FC recently parted ways with coach Masutha after their 5-1 thumping against Maritzburg United.

Masutha had roped in Shivambu as his assistant coach at VFC before stepping down as the head coach, with the club’s technical director John Ferreira taking over as interim coach.

The Limpopo-side suffered a 1-0 defeat against Baroka before the international break, which was their fourth league defeat this season.

News reaching iDiski Times is that Shivhambu has been told to leave the club but it is not clear yet whether they will keep Alex Muruba, who was also part of Masutha’s technical team.

VFC are sitting at the bottom of the Motsepe Foundation Championship table with just five points after seven matches.

When the league resumes in four days’ time, they will face struggling Milford FC away from home and hope to avoid their fourth straight defeat.
