JDR Stars chairman and coach, Nditsheni Nemasisi wants to end his side’s hoodoo against Hungry Lions when the two sides meet in the Nedbank Cup Round of 32 on Saturday.
It’s going to be an all-Motsepe Foundation Championship battle in the Ke Yona Cup, when JDR Stars will face their ‘worst nightmare’ in Hungry Lions.
It’s been a month since these two sides faced each other in a league match, where Hungry Lions registered their fourth win in the last five fixtures between the two sides.
Nemasisi, who is the JDR Stars chairman turned coach, admitted that they’ve been struggling with Ditau di a Rora, having only beaten them once in the league and during the promotional playoffs to the National First Division.
“It is an interesting game for us, it’s not going to be an easy one. We know Hungry Lions very well, they know us lately they are really punishing us I don’t know how but it’s something that we will keep trying to rectify,” Nemasisi told the journalists.
“If you go back to our history with Hungry Lions when we got promoted in Cape Town, we beat them 3-0 and, in this league we only beat them once they’ve beaten us three (sic) times so it’s going to be a tough one for us.”
The game kicks off at 15:00 at Giant Stadium on Saturday.
