Mamelodi Sundowns have exercised the option in midfielder Rivaldo Coetzee’s contract. Coetzee, 27, has been with Sundowns for eight years after joining the side from Ajax Cape Town – now Cape Town Spurs – at a young age. Coetzee was close to joining Scottish giants Celtic but failed a medical at the club before making the switch to Chloorkop. Downs took the opportunity and signed Coetzee in August 2017 and since then he has made over 120 appearances for the Yellow Nation.
