15 Players Excluded From Bafana Squad

Hugo Broos has dropped 15 players from his preliminary Bafana Bafana squad, with Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Sipho Chaine one of the big surprises. Broos had already dropped Siyabonga Ngezana and Sipho Mbule from his preliminary selection, while the Belgian mentor also confirmed that Thapelo Morena, who had made the initial squad, has been excluded due to injury. Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has named the final 23-man squad for the upcoming two games against Panama in South Africa. South Africa face the North American side in Durban and Cape Town in two weeks time as preperation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup – where they open the global event against hosts Mexico.
