Bafana Bafana’s fixtures at the 2026 FIFA World Cup have been confirmed, a day after the group stage draw. South Africa were draw in Group A, alongside co-hosts Mexico, Korea Republic and the winner of the European playoff between Denmark, North Macedonia, Czech Republic and Ireland. Bafana already knew they will face Mexico on 11 June at the Estadio Azreca in the opener of the 2026 tournament – 16 years after both sides met in the opener of the 2010 World Cup in Mzansi. Relebohile Mofokeng netted the decisive goal in extra time, leading Orlando Pirates to victory in the Carling Knockout Cup final against Marumo Gallants at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium. Marumo Gallants goalkeeper Washington Arubi has spoken out about his penalty-saving heroics ahead of the Carling Knockout Cup final against Orlando Pirates. Bahlabane Ba Ntwa are going to face off against the Buccaneers on Saturday at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium at 18:00.
