Former Kaizer Chiefs dribbling wizzard Peter ‘Pele’ Mokotedi, who played for Amakhosi between 1980 and 1983, has sadly passed away, the club announced. Mokotedi was scouted by Witbank Black Aces while playing for amateur side Naughty Boys, impressing during an 8-1 defeat in a friendly match. Dept of Sport Bails Out SAFA

Following reports that Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana had not been paid, the Department of Sport has stepped in and bailed SAFA out. iDiski Times reported a few weeks ago about the situation, and now Minister of Sport, Gayton McKenzie has released a statement saying the Department has advanced SAFA money from their 2025 grant to solve the situation. “Following reports that the South African Football Association (SAFA) has become cash-strapped to pay player’s salaries ahead of the festive season, the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC) has decided to advance the federation with R5 million,” the statement read.
