Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos says there will always be a place for Orlando Pirates striker Evidence Makgopa in the national team when circumstances allow. Makgopa has made a return to the national team fold for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers Group K double header against Uganda and South Sudan. The towering Buccaneers frontman has been in fine form scoring six times in 13 outings across all competitions this campaign. Broos says besides the fact that he likes Makgopa, the Limpopo-born forward has other qualities most South African players lack and he’s very useful to the team.
