Lyle Foster continued his return for Burnley, as he came off the bench for just over fifteen minutes against Stoke City on Wednesday afternoon.
It was the third appearance in a week for the Bafana Bafana striker since his return from an injury that kept him sidelined for the past two and half months. Foster picked up the injury for Bafana in their 5-0 victory over Congo back in October.
This was the longest runout for the 24-year-old, with his previous two substitute appearances being for less than five minutes.
Unfortunately, Burnley were reduced to ten men in the final five minutes, and while Foster did get one good opportunity, forcing a save, he was unable to break the deadlock and the match ended goalless.
The result means that Burnley go up to second position in the Championship, albeit temporarily as Sheffield United could return to the position with a positive result against Sunderland.
