Banyana Banyana star Jermaine Seaposenwe continues to shine in Mexico, as she has been on the scoresheet in back-to-back matches for Rajadas Monterrey, who haven’t lost a single game since she joined the club.
Seaposenwe scored a crucial a goal on Friday morning, as Monterrey beat log leaders Tigres UANL 3-1in the Clásico Regio Femenil 3-1 away from home.
They had to come from a goal down, with the Banyana midfielder netting an impressive equaliser two minutes after the half-time break.
Her teammates Chinwendu Ihezuo and Christian Marie Burkenroad completed the turnaround with goals in the 84th and 95th minute to dethrone Tigres from top of the log.
While Monterrey are currently in fourth place with 35 points, Tigres stayed on 41 points and were overtaken by Club America with 42 points. Monterrey currently sit seven points behind the new table toppers whom they will face in their next match in two weeks’ time.
Rajadas are now unbeaten in 10 successive matches, winning six and drawing four, with the incredible run coinciding with the arrival of Seoposenwe at the Mexican giants.
The 2022 Woman’s African Cup Of Nations winner seems to have taken her game to the next level, as she has scored three goals in her last four games.
The 30-year-old has been named in the Banyana squad that will face DR Congo in the CAF Woman’s Olympics qualifiers in a two-leg tie.
She will look to take her fantastic form to the national team and help them qualify for the Olympics.
