Banyana Banyana star Hildah Magaia has opened her goalscoring account for Mazatlan Femenil in a 3-1 win over Atletico de San Luis.
In the absence of Sinoxolo Cesane, who was the top goalscorer of Mazatlan, Magaia took matters into her own hands, as she set up Soumaya Bouak for the first goal inside 27th minute.
‘Breadwinner’ then converted a penalty in the 65th minute played to put Mazitlan ahead for the first time in game.
The 2022 WAFCON winner grabbed a brace after 85 minutes following a great solo run to make it 3-1 and secured the much-needed three points. Magaia took her goal contribution to four goals, with two goals and two assists since joining the club.
Mazatlan has already secured more points in the new season than last campaign after just after six matches with six points as compared to the four points in 17 matches at the end of last season.
They currently sit in 13th place on the log.
