Buchanan’s Future With Spurs In Doubt

Keagan Buchanan’s future with relegated Cape Town Spurs is in doubt after not training with the senior side in the past three weeks.

‘The Fixer’ joined Spurs at the beginning of the current season after leaving AmaZulu FC as a free agent at the end of 2022/23 season.

The 32-year-old made 15 appearances in the red and white of Spurs. He played different roles at one stage as a center-back under the leadership of Ernst Middendorp.

News reaching iDiski Times state that Buchanan hasn’t been training with Spur’s senior side for three weeks. A close sources told this publication that he was instructed to train with the DStv Diski Challenge side.

Since the DDC league got wrapped up last weekend, Buchanan hasn’t trained with the senior side and he is highly likely not to feature in the upcoming DStv Premiership clash against Lamontville Golden Arrows.

The former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder hasn’t been in Spurs match-day squad for the past four matches and last feature in a 1-0 defeat to Sekhukhune United.

Overall, the experienced midfielder made 13 appearances this season but just two off the bench in the second half of the campaign.

The Caps Town-based side already lost Clayton Daniels, technical director Sean Connor, and Bradley Ralani this season.
