TS Galaxy have completed the signing of former SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates striker Thamsanqa Gabuza, iDiski Times has learnt.
Last week, this publication reported that Gabuza was training with The Rockets with hope of getting himself a contract after parting ways with Matsatsantsa.
It has now reached the iDiski Times desk that Galaxy have signed Gabuza in a deal believed to be a one-year contract, as part of boosting their squad ahead of 2023/24 season.
The former Lamontville Golden Arrows striker spent three seasons at SuperSport, making 118 appearances and netting 22 goals, assisting on seven occasions.
The 35-year-old was part of United team that won MTN8 under the leadership of Kaitano Tembo in 2019, beating Highlands Park by 1-0 at Orlando Stadium.
The veteran striker, who was on the brink of a January move to Stellenbosch before the deal fell through, was one of the mainstay members of Matstsansa over his first three seasons but had somewhat fallen down the pecking order under Hunt.
While SSU opted to part ways with Gabuza, they have since reinforced their strike-force with Terrence Dzukamanja and Etiosa Ighodaro.
