Donn Resurfaces At New Club After SuperSport Exit

Former SuperSport United midfielder Jesse Donn has resurfaced at a new club ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Donn, 25, joined SuperSport from Ubuntu Football Academy in 2019 and emerged as one of the hottest prospects in the league.

He was on the fringes of the national team squad under Hugo Broos but fell out of favour upon the return of Gavin Hunt as head coach, who preferred a midfield duo of Grant Margeman and Siphesihle Ndlovu.

After 71 games for Matsatsansa, Donn officially left the club and has been confirmed to be training with the Rockets, where he’s said to have impressed head coach Sead Ramovic and his technical team thus far.

No decision has been made yet on his future at present, with the player likely to also feature for the club in the upcoming Mpumalanga Premier’s International Cup.

Galaxy are once again embarking on a rebuilding job after the exit of seven first-team players ahead of the new season.

Lehlohonolo Mojela has joined Stellenbosch, while experienced defender Pogiso Sanoka has been sold to SuperSport United.

Higor Vidal, Vasilije Kolak, Lindokuhle Mbatha have left the club while Bernard Parker and Vuyo Mere are set to form part of the DStv Diski Challenge technical team.
