Lyle Foster’s move to Premier League side Ipswich Town appears to have broken down.
The Orlando Pirates youth product has experienced a a great rise over the past two years after joining Burnley for €11 million in January 2023.
He became a regular in Vincent Kompany’s squad and made 24 Premier League appearances in 2023/24, scoring five goals and setting up three more.
Foster was rewarded with a new long-term contract by his club, but latest reports had linked the South African forward with a move to Ipswich.
Both clubs were close to agreeing to a loan with an obligation to buy said to be worth €30 million, which would’ve pulvarised the South African transfer record.
However, according to credible journalist Sache Tavolieri the move has broken down after Ipswich opted to withdraw from the talks.
Foster will now likely stay at Turfmoor and try to help Burnley get back into the Premier League, as the UK transfer window closes on Friday night.
