ASFAR head coach Nasreddine Nabi is closing in on his first January signing with the club agreeing terms with Botswana international Tumisang Orebonye.
Nabi, who won a domestic treble in two consecutive seasons with Young Africans SC is well on course for more silverware in Morocco this season.
Landing the job at Botola Pro champions ASFAR, he’s leading the table after 13 games with 27 points, holding a one-goal advantage over Josef Zinnbauer’s Raja Athletic Club.
And despite being the leading scorers in the league with 26 goals, the USM Alger star was a priority target for the club, having previously starred in the league before his move to Algeria.
Between 2020 and 2023, the former Township Rollers forward represented Olympique Khouribga where he scored seven goals with six assists in 40 games.
iDiski Times sources confirm ASFAR have now activated his $150,000 (R2.8m) release clause with personal terms already agreed ahead of his impending return to the country.
The 27-year-old has won the CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Super Cup in his 12 months with the Algerian giants.
