Marumo Gallants have appointed 28-year-old Alexandre Lafitte as the club’s new head coach following the departure of Abdeslam Ouaddou.
Gallants had still questioned the resignation of Ouaddou ahead of his move to Orlando Pirates, but have now moved on announced the Stade d’Abidjan coach as their new manager.

Lafitte started his coaching journey as youth coach at Tarbes Pyrenees in 2018 and also previously worked as youth coach for French giants Paris Saint-Germain. Last season, Stade d’ Abidjan was his first head coach role and he guided them to their first league title in 56 years..
“Marumo Gallants F.C. confirms the appointment of Lafitte Alexandre as the club’s new Head Coach,” the club stated.
“The 28-year-old French coach brings a strong track record in leading teams in both France and Côte d’Ivoire.
Alexandre most recently managed Stade d’Abidjan, where he guided the team to the Ivorian League
title.
“His appointment follows the departure of Abdeslam Ouaddou, who parted ways with the club at the
end of the recent season.”
