Released Chiefs Defender Mdaka Spotted At AmaZulu

Former Kaizer Chiefs youngster Omega Mdaka has found his way to train with AmaZulu in Durban.

According to iDiski Times sources, Mdaka started to train with Pablo Franco Martin’s side on Sunday.

Mdaka was one of the few players whom Chiefs released from their DStv Diski Challenge team after they allegedly refused to be the ball boys.

He was released along with fellow defender Puso Dithejane after they had their contract terminated and that has left them to be free agents with immediate effect.

The match in question in which the players refused to be ball boys was the Carling Knockout Round of 16 against the AmaZulu at FNB Stadium last month, where they lost via the goal of Taariq Fielies.

That game proved to be the last for coach Molefi Ntseki, who was sacked afterwards and was replaced by Cavin Johnson in the interim.

There were reports that Chiefs, having developed Mdaka, are due a compensation since he is not older than 24 as per FIFA rules.

Dithejane, who was part Bafana Bafana B side that claimed the bronze medal in the COSAFA Cup in July, has since been signed by TS Galaxy.
