Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signing of Brazilian forward Lucas Ribeiro Costa from SK Beveren, as reported by iDiski Times.
Costa, 24, arrived at Sundowns as their third signing of the window after Lesiba Nku and Junior Mendieta, as they continue to bolster their attacking options.
The left-footed forward, who can feature in the 10 role, up front or either wing, was one of the standout players in the Challenger Pro League last season with 11 goals and eight assists, which caught the eye of Masandawana’s technical team.
While they have been on the lookout for a left-footed attacker for quite some time now Ribeiro marks the ideal recruit as he looks set to partner Peter Shalulile up front in the 2023/24 season.
As reported by iDiski Times last month, Sundowns have now confirmed his arrival as with the player believed to have signed a lucrative five-year deal.
Ribiero will now team up with the Brazilians for pre-season in Rustenberg before they venture to the Netherlands between 17 and 29 July where they are looking to secure around four other fixtures alongside their clash against Eredivisie side NEC Breda.
