Siyabonga Ngezana’s FCSB have received some tough opponents in the UEFA Europa League.
The Romanian champions qualified via the Europa League playoffs after beating LASK 2-1 on aggregate thanks to a 93rd minute winner on Thursday evening.
They have now entered the “league phase” of the Europa League, but were sitting in pot 4, meaning they received some heavy hitters as opponents, including Manchester United and Rangers from Pot 1.
In addition, they will also face Greek giants Olympiacos and POAK, Midtjlland, Qarabag, RFS and Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will meet Rangers, Porto, PAOK, Fenerbahce, Viktoria Plzen and Twente as part of their league phase.
