Another Big CAFWCL Win For Sundowns Ladies

Mamelodi Sundowns picked up a second straight win in their CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers, with a 6-0 hammering of Botswana’s Double Action Ladies.

Sundowns took the lead from the penalty spot in the 13th minute, with Zanele Nhlapo converting from the spot.

The second came in the 28th minute, as Melinda Kgadiete finished off a good attacking move from the South African club.

It was 2-0 at half-time, but Kgadiete made it three just after the break.

And in the 50th minute it was four, as Andisiwe Mcgoyi added to the tally.

And Kgagiete had her hat-trick in the 62nd minute, with an easy tap in.

The goals kept coming and Lelona Daweti made it 6-0 in the 73rd minute.

Another big win for Sundowns’ ladies to follow up Thursday’s victory over Lesotho Defence Force.

It sees the team qualify for the semi-finals of the qualifying tournament, with a game in hand, to be played on Monday. They also cannot be caught at the top of Group A, so will go to the semis as group winners.

The winner of this regional tournament will join seven other African clubs in the official CAF Women’s Champion League tournament.
