TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic has stated Puso Dithejane is the best player at his age that he’s ever seen in his coaching career.
Dithejane who turned 20 last month, joined Galaxy after being released by Chiefs for allegedly refusing to be ballboys for a first-team match.
Having starred in the DStv Diski Challenge with Amakhosi, his professional breakthrough has come with the Rockets, where he’s featured 17 times with one goal and one assist.
He also netted a stunning goal during pre-season as they beat Bundesliga side FC Augsburg 2-1 in the Mpumalanga Premier’s Cup final.
“Puso for me I have to be careful not to hype so fast, a young guy, but I like I known him now since October when he came to us [from Kaizer Chiefs], unbelievable, top player, unbelievable skills, also a great lifestyle,” Ramovic said.
“Yes he’s in the right direction, he just turned 20, and for me, he’s one of the best players I’ve ever seen at his age, we are happy to have him in our team and if he continues the way he’s playing now, I will not be surprised if we lose a player like him.
“But now we’re just happy to have him like we’re happy to have Mpho [Mvelase], [Thato] Khiba, also happy to have Sphiwe, Mike [Sebelebele], you can go from number one to the last – but I’m happy to be coaching an amazing group of players that we have.”
Ramovic paid homage to the Soweto giants for their role in furthering his career, having spent two years there after being snapped up from School of Excellence, while also Orlando Pirates for the role in developing fellow 20-year-old talent Samukelo Kabini.
“I have to give huge credit to Chiefs, they built him also there that he became the player he is now, so I won’t talk about why they released him, it’s not my [place] I don’t know what happened there,” he added.
“But I can only give credit to the academy [coaches] at Chiefs, how they improved and developed him and also need to give credit to Orlando Pirates for Kabini, he’s played amazing until now, so they did a fantastic job too.”
