France Football have announced the nominees for the prestigious Ballon d’Or, which will be handed out in December.
The famous Golden Ball will return in 2021 after it was not handed out in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lionel Messi is the current holder of the accolade after beating Virgil Van Dijk by the slightest of margins in 2019, with Cristiano Ronaldo ending up in third place.
The Paris Saint-Germain superstar is also the record-holder of the award, having collected it six times so far.
