Stuart Baxter has praised the performance of Keagan Dolly after his side’s 2-1 win over Baroka.
Amakhosi started the game on fire with Khama Billiat opening the scoring early on while they showed several fluid attacks but missed a host of chances as well.
After the match, Baxter praised his forwards, in particular Dolly, who caused the Baroka defence several headaches.
“Did I think we would play that well this soon? No. Keagan certainly can’t give us 90 minutes yet,” he told reporters.
“But Keagan’s quality in off the line, being able to hold the ball to get that eye contact with him and thread things through that’s his spark.
“I think Samir, too, he was better tonight than I’ve seen him all season.”
Moments earlier Baxter had already praised Chiefs’ new Nr.10, saying his late substitution was a tactical one and not based on his performance.
“Keagan did a great job, fantastic, I didn’t think he would last as long as he did,” the coach told SuperSport TV.
“The change when he came out was purely tactical.”
Dolly received the Man of the Match award for his performance against Baroka.
