Chabalala On Pirates Future
Justice Chabalala says his future will be determined by his mother club Orlando Pirates following his loan spell at Bloemfontein Celtic this past season, Lethabo Kganyago reports.
The loan to Siwelele was for one season and now that it’s over he says he waits to hear from Pirates on what happens.
“To be honest it’s up to Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic but remember I’m an Orlando Pirates player so it’s up to them. Anything they (Orlando Pirates) say to me I’m happy with that,” the defender told iDiski Times.
Meanwhile the Giyani-born Chabalala reflected on the season he had in the Free State where Celtic finished 11th with 32 points while they were silver medallists in the MTN 8.
Chabalala says he appreciates his time at Celtic as he got game time and was playing under a good coach and supportive players before adding that it was a good campaign.
He added, though, that Covid-19 made it tough and he believes they could have finished in the top 8.
“The season was good but for me we were supposed to finish in the top 8 and we didn’t make it so we will carry on and see what happens,” he added.
“I’m disappointed in myself and how we lost two cup finals, two months and two cup finals and we didn’t even achieve one. I think it was gonna be better if we got one.”
Though there were coaching changes at Celtic that saw Lehlohonolo Seema leave at the start of the season Chabalala does not think that had an effect on the club’s performances.
