Dolly – Why I’ll Wear Chiefs’ Nr. 10
Keagan Dolly has explained why he will the Nr. 10 shirt at Kaizer Chiefs.
The 28-year-old was unveiled as new signing alongside Cole Alexander on Tuesday, with both players penning three-year contacts.
While Alexander has already started to train with Amakhosi, Dolly will join the club’s pre-season on Thursday.
The club confirmed that Dolly will don the Nr. 10 shirt, which was last worn by Siphelele Ntshangase and the club’s new star explained that he grew to like the number because of former Amakhosi winger Stanton Fredericks as well as Steven Pienaar.
“It’s funny because growing up I always enjoyed playing with number 10 because of Stanton Fredericks, Steven Pienaar, so I always liked the number,: he told the club’s media department.
“But it’s exciting to wear it again at such a big club, and I’m ready to step up and represent the number and the club.”
Dolly also explained that he feels excited to link up with his Bafana Bafana teammates such as Itumeleng Khune.
“I’m close to a lot of these players. We spent a couple of camps at Bafana level together.
“And I think I’ll feel right at home because I know a lot of the players that’s part of the team, and I think they will make it easier for me to settle in and then we can just work together.”
