Pitso Is Chasing Tau, Ngcobo & Miquissone

Pitso Mosimane and Al Ahly are working on several transfer targets and here is the latest on their chase of Percy Tau, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Luis Miquissone.

The South African coach is yet to sign a player for the ‘Club of the Century’ since joining them in 2020 but this transfer window seems to be heating up and there are several players currently linked with Mosimane’s Al Ahly.

However, with the window still open rumours are heating up, in particular after Mosimane told SAFM that he is looking for a player from South Africa.

According to FilGoal.com, Mosimane and Al Ahly are currently chasing three targets, with Tau the coaches’ number one choice followed by Ngcobo and Miquissone.

Mosimane has left the matter in the hands of the club’s leaderships who are working on deals for the three players.

However, the African champions’ financials are not bottomless and Brighton & Hove Albion’s asking price for Tau seems too high, FilGoal report.

As a consequence, Al Ahly are prepared to wait for January to maybe get the 27-year-old for a cut-price deal before his contract runs out in June 2022. Another option would be to sign Tau on a free transfer once his deal has expired.

Meanwhile, Al Ahly legend Magdy Abdelghani says that the club has withdrawn from the negotiations with Brighton, according to EG24.

Ngcobo’s current situation is understood to be similar to Tau’s, with Chiefs’ asking price considered too much by Al Ahly.

Hence, the Egyptian giants have focussed their energies on securing Miquissone, who was on the books of Mamelodi Sundowns between January 2018 and January 2020.

FilGoal report that Al Ahly and Simba SC have agreed to a fee of $900 000 (R12.8 million) and have offered Miquissone a contract until 2025.
