Ma-Mkhize Explains Role Of Son Mpisane
With Andile Mpisane being known as the youngest chairman in the PSL but is also listed as player for Royal AM, his mother Shauwn Mkhize has now explained his role at Royal AM.
The 20-year-old is one of the players on the roster of Royal after the club bought the DStv Premiership status of Bloemfontein Celtic.
However, his mother and club president Mkhize has explained that he son is focussing on the admin-side of things this season instead continuing to feature on the pitch.
“I think he’s set, he’s going to take a break this time around and allow the players to play and focus mainly on the administrative side of things,” she told Andile Ngcube on Radio 2000.
“Because it won’t help him to only play soccer and not have the knowhow and knowledge on the administrative side of things.
“That’s why it is time now to focus on, especially when he’s got the coaches on the club, who have been exposed and has got so much of knowledge about football.
“It’s good for him (Andile) to grab the knowledge from the people who know better about it – like John Maduka. They have been in the soccer fraternity for quite some time, they were players and now as coaches.
“So for him, I think it’s better to know the administrative side and that’s the part he chose for now.”
“Yes, he is very active (on the board and in the decision making),” she added.
