Royal AM head coach John Maduka has praised his goal-poacher Victor Letsoalo after his brace in their 4-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Royal AM ran out comfortable 4-1 winners as Victor Letsoalo netted his first brace of the season.
Letsoalo’s double and a goal from Mfundo Thikazi as well as an own goal by substitute Sibusiso Mabiliso were enough to give the Durban-based club the maximum three points.
“We knew that it was going to be a difficult game so what we tried to do, is to try to overload the midfield and once we overload there, we try to go out and it worked for us,” Maduka told reporters.
“That’s why you could see we did create chances, so many chances that we created in the game.
“Letsoalo, you know he’s a goal-poacher you have to understand his strength so that you use him according to his strength.
“And today you know he did exactly that, any chance that he has, he is very deadly in that areas, and he gave us that and we are happy you know to have a player of his calibre.
“And it’s good to see him scoring you know, strikers their job is to score goals, so it’s always good as a coach to see the strikers scoring.
“Our previous games we struggled to score goals but we happy tonight at least we did manage to score some goals.”
