Newly-promoted DStv Premiership side Magesi FC is set to beef up their technical team with the addition of Papi Zothwane.
Zothwane, 42, recently left Black Leopards where he was an assistant coach and helped the side survive relegation, finishing in 10th place.
The Bophelong-born mentor has previously turned out for Maritzburg United, Lamontville Golden Arrows and Mamelodi Sundowns in his playing days. He retired in 2012 after making over 80 appearances in his career.
The former Sundowns midfielder started his coaching career at Arrows for the club’s reserve side before joining Uthongathi FC. He also had a short stint at Polokwane City before returning to Uthongathi for the second time.
iDiski Times has been reliably informed that Zothwane is set to join Clinton Larsen’s technical team as an assistant coach ahead of their debut season in the DStv Premiership.
Magesi already started their pre-season and Zothwane has been spotted at the club alongside Larsen as they are preparing for the 2024/25 season.
