Official: Chiefs Make Hlanti Decision

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed defender Sifiso Hlanti has signed a new one-year deal with an option to extend.

Hlanti, 33, was out of contract by the end of this month and was said to have been offered a new deal with the condition of a wage cut.

Having played 30 games in all competitions for Amakhosi last season he formed an important part of the squad and the player accepted the new terms.

The club announced on Friday that he’s penned a new one-year deal with an option to extend.

“We are happy that we have agreed on this contract extension with S’fiso. He is an important member of the team, given his experience and ability,” Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr told the club’s website.

“We look forward to his continued hard-work and sharing of his knowledge with the young players we have in the team.”
