Cape Town Spurs have announced they have parted ways with head coach Dylan Deane with immediate effect.
Deane took over from Ian Taylor toward the end of last season, however a poor start to the 2021/2022 campaign has seen the club take action.
On Sunday Spurs suffered their worst result of the season, as they lost 6-1 away to Pretoria Callies.
The club, formerly known as Ajax Cape Town, are currently 15th on the table. They have said they will name Deane’s replacement in due course.
“Dylan has enhanced the energy at Ikamva and brought renewed confidence to the club, but unfortunately we’ve been unable to turn the ‘feel good factor’ into wins,” Cape Town Spurs CEO Alexi Efstathiou said in their statement.
“We thank Dylan for his commitment to the club, not only over the last few months, but over the last few years and wish him all the best.”
Calvin Marlin will be in charge in the interim, assisted by Nasief Morris.
