Official: PSL Prosecutor Becker Resigns

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) prosecutor Nande Becker has officially resigned after eight years in the role.

Last week there were murmurs around his potential exit from the PSL while the silence surrounding the Kaizer Chiefs and Cape Town City game was rather telling.

Becker has since confirmed to iDiski Times that he has indeed vacated his position in a brief statement on Sunday.

“I resigned with effect [on] 30 November 2021,” he told iDiski Times. When probed on the reasoning he stated he’d prefer to keep that quiet.

The PSL have yet to confirm who will replace him and on the outcome of the Chiefs debacle with the club stating on Friday they would not be able to honour the fixture before yesterday’s bizarre scenes at FNB Stadium.
