Kaizer Chiefs have announced their opponents for this year’s Toyota Cup – the second instalment of their newly-founded pre-season game. Last year, Amakhosi lost 4-0 to Young Africans in what was Nasreddine Nabi’s first proper game as head coach. This year, the Glamour Boys will face Ghanaian record champions Asante Kotoko, the club announced on Thursday. Asante Kotoko have won the Ghanaian Premier League 25 times, the last in 2021/22 and most recently won the Ghanaian FA Cup after beating Golden Kicks 2-1. Orlando Pirates have agreed to sign Mali midfielder Abdoulaye Mariko from Djoliba ahead of the 2025/26 season. The 23-year-old is set to arrive in Johannesburg on Thursday to start life with Pirates for pre-season, where he’s agreed a two-year deal with an option to extend. Romanian giants FCSB have set their sights on TS Galaxy and Bafana Bafana defender Khulumani Ndamane. Following the first report by FARPost, this publication has established that FCSB have sent an enquiry to Galaxy about defender Ndamane after he has been identified as a good addition to their ageing back-line. Orlando Pirates have announced seven new signings ahead of the 2025/26 season. The Buccaneers had already announced the arrival of new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou and Sipho Mbule but confirmed seven more new faces on Thursday. Tshepang Moremi joins after his contract expired at AmaZulu, while Sihle Nduli joins on a free deal from Stellenbosch FC. Official: Another PSL Coach Departs

Durban City have announced the departure of Simo Dladla after failing to agree onto a new contract for the coach. Dladla took over from Zipho Dlangalala, who had started the 2024/25 season and guided Durban City back to the Betway Premiership. However, the now Durban-based club – former Maritzburg United – announced his departure over failing to agree new terms. “Durban City Football Club can confirm that following a series of discussions, the Club and Head Coach Simo Dladla have been unable to reach an agreement on a new contract of employment for the Betway Premiership Season,” the club stated.

Mamelodi Sundowns and Fluminense have announced their respective starting line-ups for this evening’s final Group F FIFA CWC clash at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The Brazilians, who are the only African side still in the compeitition after Al Ahly, Wydad AC and ES Tunis were all eliminated from the group stages, are poised to make history by reaching the knock out phase which would see them pocked R36 million.
