Kaizer Chiefs might not be done signing for the year, despite the transfer window being closed after Molefi Ntseki confirmed that Luke Fleurs is still being assessed by the club.
Fleurs, 23, has parted ways with SuperSport as confirmed by Gavin Hunt to this publication, and was pictured training at Naturena in September.
However, with no pressure to finalise his deal due to him being a free agent, there hasn’t been any update from the club whether they will sign the versatile defender or not.
But on Tuesday, Ntseki revealed that Fleurs is still training with the club, but ended up short of confirming whether Amakhosi will sign him or not.
“He’s been doing very well,” he told journalists.
“The reason why we’ve brought him in just to work closer with him was to do a proper assessment, a proper profiling of Luke because he’s a quality player.
“I think that process is still going very well. Sooner we will be able to get in touch with him and his representatives and then a decision will be made.
“He’s still with us.”
Ntseki also confirmed that Fleurs has taken part in training matches for the club but couldn’t announce when a decision on his future will be made.
“That is more of a classified information that we have, but the young man is still with us,” he added.
