Mamelodi Sundowns have announced the signing of Marumo Gallants forward Lesiba Nku as their first arrival ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
Nku, 27, was one of the standout players for Gallants last season and despite their relegation, scoring five goals in 31 appearances.
Sundowns won the race for the versatile forward, who resisted offers from the likes of SuperSport United and Stellenbosh.
On Thursday, Nku was unveiled by the club after penning a four-year deal.
The move might come as a surprise to many, but head coach Rulani Mokwena has been a known admirer and the club feels Nku has shown enough to be able to fight for a place at the club next season.
Playing as a central midfielder, right-wing, left-wing and even a false nine, his technical ability and versatility caught the eye of many around South Africa and even around the continent during their exploits in the CAF inter-club competition last season.
