Kambole Inspired By Goal Against Chippa

Kaizer Chiefs striker Lazarous Kambole says he was inspired by the goal he scored against Chippa United over the weekend in the DStv Premiership clash.

Amakhosi slammed the Chilli Boys with a heavy score of 4-0 at FNB Stadium, with Keagan Dolly netting twice and Khama Billiat adding to his tally before Kambole sealed everything with a last goal.

Kambole, who was put on the transfer-list by the club after struggling to shine since he arrived, aims to do better and score more goals going forward.

“It was a great game, we dominated the whole game. We created a lot of chances and thankfully we took them,” he told club’s media department.

“It is good to be back in the team. To be on the scoresheet is a great feeling and I am happy for the team and I am happy for the goal.”

The Zambian also says that he is trying to work hard in training in order to convince the coach he deserves more game-time.

“I am hoping that going forward I can score more goals for the team. The most important thing is to focus on the things you can change,” he added.

“You just have to continue working hard and the goals will come. I have to put in a lot of effort in training and pray for more goals to come.”

The Glamour Boys will travel to face SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday at 17:30.
