Neo Maema says that joining DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns is a privilege.
The winger joined Sundowns from Bloemfontein Celtic earlier this month, as did another Celtic player, Sifiso Ngobeni.
The left footer came through the ranks at Celtic, making his debut back in the 2016/2017 season. Last campaign he scored three goals in 17 appearances for Siwelele.
Maema says he’s settling in well at the club, and is making new friends, as well as re-uniting with a few old ones.
“Coming to Mamelodi Sundowns has been a privilege,” Maema said on the Sundowns’ website.
“Settling in with the guys has been very good, it is very challenging but the guys made it very easy for me to settle in.
“There are quite a lot of guys that I made friends with, like Mshishi and Aubrey Modiba just to mention a few.
“Lyle Lakay and Thapelo Morena (both former Bloemfontein Celtic players) are the guys that have shown me around, we (have always been) connected from Celtic, we had a good relationship and (we are) still building something strong.”
