Maleka – Gallants Ready For Maritzburg

Marumo Gallants assistant coach Mpho Maleka says they are ready to face Maritzburg United today, but says it will not be an easy game.

Gallants come into this match on the back of a good 3-0 win in the CAF Confederation Cup that saw them progress 4-2 on aggregate against Equatorial Guinea’s Futuro Kings, but find themselves at the bottom of the DStv Premiership table, but have only played only two games.

Maleka says they want to make the best of their catch-up games, but knows that Maritzburg, who won their last match, will be tough, especially at the Harry Gwala Stadium

“Yes, today we playing Maritzburg United Football Club,” Maleka told the club’s media department.

“And we didn’t have a good start, the first two games were not that good, but we managed to get a point.

“And because of our commitment in Caf Confederation, we are still behind in games, but as we turned the scoreline of 2-1 away from from Guinea and coming back to win 3-0, that will give us a motivation to face Maritzburg United.

“And again Maritzburg are coming from a win, so we both highly motivated to go to this encounter. But we expect a tough good game and we’re ready for the match.

“Although we know it won’t be easy, but we here to fight, fight for three points and coming from where we are, Confed, playing with other champions of Africa that gives us the motivation to go to the match, with a good spirit, highly motivated and ready for the fight.”
