Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has highlighted the key area where his team has made significant progress over the past two years, an element of the game they struggled with at previous AFCON. Aarhus GF star Gift Links has responded to his exclusion from the Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming AFCON, also addressing comments made by head coach Hugo Broos. Despite enjoying a strong season at club level, with four goals and four assists in 22 appearances across all competitions, Links has not been included in even the provisional national team squad. In November, Broos explained his decision not to select the winger, saying the player had not yet reached the level required for a Bafana Bafana call-up. Links said he holds no hard feelings over his omission and wished the squad
