Former Pirates Coach Rewarded After Top Start

Simba SC head coach Fadlu Davids has been awarded the Coach of the Month accolade for August after an unbeaten run in Tanzanian football.

Since leaving Raja Athletic Club, Davids started his reign at Simba SC with an emphatic 3-0 win over Tabora United before bagging a second win on the trot as they thrashed Fountain Gate 4-0 for a perfect 100% record in the 2024/25 NBC Premier League campaign.

The 45-year-old South African mentor has not only led Wekundu wa Msimbazi to the top-of-the-table standings, but they have so far scored the most goals in the league (7) and are yet to concede.

This past weekend, Simba played Al Hilal Club in a friendly with the match ending in a 1-1 draw.

Simba’s next assignment in match-day three will see them take on Azam FC on Monday, 16 September, away at Chamazi Stadium.
