A former Bafana Bafana midfielder has been spotted at Cape Town Spurs as they prepare for life in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
In what could be a ‘double reunion’, former Maritzburg United midfielder Daylon Claasen has been training with Ernst Middendorp’s recently relegated side.
It would not only be a reunion with his former Maritzburg coach, but also at Ikamva, with Claasen having come through at Ajax Cape Town (now Spurs) before moving to Ajax Amsterdam.
Spurs returned to training this week as they look to bounce back to the DStv Premiership immediately under the German mentor.
Claasen, 34, has spent the past two years in Egypt playing for Wadi Degla al-Qāhira, leaving Maritzburg in 2022.
The former Lierse, Lech Poznan, 1860 Munchen and Bidvest Wits player has 11 caps for Bafana.
